Introduction

First two weeks of student teaching a FM HS have been a little slow. I just stared to take attendance for the 9th and 10th grade students. I can tell the difference between the upper and under classmen. Most upper classmen can care less about instructions. As for most of the under classmen they are afraid to get in trouble so they listen to everything. I am helping coach the modified field hockey team. Most of the girls have played before, but there are some who have never held a stick. Since they are so young we are going over the rules and regulations of game play. I am excited to start teaching my own classes and see how I do!!!

New Semester

It is very important to get to know not only your professors but also your classmates. Your peers in the classes you are in could be a coworker. This is why it is important to step out and talk to others. We do not have shells for a reason so don't act like you can hide in one! you may be struggling in a class but remember you are not alone and working together with classmates will help and create new contacts.

So remember when you are in class talk to others, relate, and don't be shy. A simple word, wave, hand shake, or high five can help build a relationship.
